I cannot believe that summer is practically over! And, for a summer where we had pretty much nothing planned, we sure managed to do a lot. It will take a while to get everything posted, but in the meantime I wanted to share a quick synopsis of what we did, and give you a sneak peek at what’s to come on Have Baby Will Travel in the fall.
Pretty Puerto Rico:
In addition to the wonderful Puerto Rican food we enjoyed, I still have so much to share about our fantastic host hotel, The San Juan Marriott, plus some wonderful activities in and around San Juan that are great fun for the whole family. Hopefully before 2010 is out, I’ll have a whole feature section on Puerto Rico on the main site.
The Fabulous Fern:
Our only getaway as an entire family this summer was a wonderful long weekend at Fern Resort in Orillia. Rarely am I surprised when I visit or stay at a property, but both my husband and I were blown away by the fantastic food, wonderful service, and all the great activities and amenities that The Fern has to offer family members of all ages. When my husband says he could totally see us going there yearly, you know that Fern Resort hit a home run. Stay tuned for more information on our stay.
Jammin’ In Jamaica:
We’ve only just returned, but I was thrilled that the Jamaica Tourist Board invited my family down for a visit. Unfortunately my husband had to work, so the kids and I, plus my mother-in-law were guests of the amazing Franklyn D. Resort & Spa. While Grandma and Bub enjoyed FDR’s amenities and amazingly wonderful vacation nannies (!), Megan and I went out on some great excursions that are bound to remain life-long memories. I’m not sure who misses Nanny Loraine or Nanny Carmelina more – me or the kids! In addition to some great adventures by Dolphin Cove, Chukka Caribbean, and Half Moon Equestrian Centre, I was delighted to get to know the lovely Dana from Ciao Bambino!, Kristen from Manic Mommies, as well as Sophia and Sherille from the Jamaica Tourist Board , and Debbie from Ruder Finn.
There’s lots in the works for the rest of 2010 – can’t wait to share it all with you!
Great scenery! sad summer is coming to an end
Look forward to reading more about your fantastic summer! Swimming with dolphins looks amazing.
Thanks Anna!
It might take a while to get it all out there, but for a summer that we didn’t have much planned, we sure did a lot!
Ah!! Look like you had a great summer with many beach trips. 🙂 Can’t wait to hear more about Jamaica.
Thanks Amy! Lots and lots to write about – it was awesome.
