Varadero beach has long been the pride of Cuba, with its wide expanse of white powder sand and beautiful blue water. Probably the most built up of the tourist zones in Cuba, Varadero offers a broad range of hotels and resorts with many different amenities and price points.
Varadero is part of a peninsula that stretches far out into the calm waters of the Atlantic. Its 21-kilometre stretch of beach is an ideal vacation spot for sun-lovers, water babies and golfers. Its location on a narrow peninsula ensures that’s always breezy. The little town of Varadero is a small strip of shops and restaurants, a market for handicrafts, as well as Plaza America – a few shops plus a supermarket where you can pick up milk, juice, and a small selection of baby supplies. Don’t miss Josone Park with a couple of decent restaurants amidst the lovely little park in the centre of town. Apparently the pina coladas are amazing.
Currently, Have Baby Will Travel has 11 Trip Reports for Varadero, Cuba.
