Holguin

Holguin is the third most populated province in Cuba, with most resorts in the Guardalavaca area. There are almost 50 beaches in the region, and they cover almost 40km of coastline. These beaches are often calmer than other Caribbean beaches in Cuba, with excellent scuba diving, and there is lush vegetation with many wildlife refuges. Holguin’s properties offer a range of amenities for families seeking a quiet escape with some culture nearby.

Trinidad

Trinidad is located in the Sancti Spiritus province, over 500 years old, and probably one of the finest examples of a Spanish colonial town in all of the Caribbean. It was declared a UNESCO Heritage Site in 1988. One of the few resort areas that’s closer to the Caribbean side, rather than the Atlantic, Playa Ancon is the closest stretch of beach to Trinidad, with several public stretches, as well as two larger All-Inclusive resorts. There is an airport in Trinidad, but you would most likely fly into Cienfuegos, which is approximately a 90min drive from Playa Ancon, or Santa Clara, which is further – more like a two hour drive from Trinidad.
